Aerial
Requirements: Level 1 Melee; equipped sword.
Description: Standard aerial attack. It has good reach (in other words, if the enemy is knocked down before the attack completes it still usually hits), but it's a little on the weak side.
Agelessness
Requirements: Human-like "plant" or other "Immortal" race
Description: Vash is not human, but a human-like "Plant". Plants are inter-dimensional beings that are tapped as a source of power and energy for the planet Gunsmoke. As a Plant, his body does not physically age past his mid-twenties. Vash is actually 131 years old in the anime, 150 in the manga by the end of the first series and 152 by the beginning of the second series.
Agility
Requirements: None.
Description: Vash is agile enough to dodge bullets at point-blank range and is said to have "perfect muscle control".
Agility
Requirements: One of the 69 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling, or one of the 27 races that learn it from breeding.
Description: "Relaxes the body to sharply boost SPEED." In the anime this attack is used while charging an opponent; it allows the user to dodge oncoming attacks.
Air Slash
Requirements: Level 2 Melee; equipped sword.
Description: Sends a wave along the ground. This attack counts as wind-elemental. Since it travels along the ground, you will have a hard time hitting airborne enemies with it.
Air Slash of Fury
Requirements: Level 3 Melee; Air Slash; equipped sword.
Description: Just like Air Slash, only it does less damage; however, it is non-elemental and does MP damage. Additional attacks can be added to it at the cost of Guts damage to Albel.
Angel Arm
Requirements: Vash only.
Description: Vash's arm has the ability to transform into a massive, angel-winged gun. This weapon is powerful enough to destroy entire cities with a single blast (in a way somewhat similar to the effects of a hydrogen or nuclear bomb), but Vash fears its potental for destruction and knows little about how to use it. In the manga, this weapon is a natural feature of his body, and capable of various effects beyond destruction. In addition, his Angel Arm is limited - like a battery, it contains only a certain amout of energy, and when that energy is gone, he will die. A Plant's hair color gradually darkens as their power is depleted - when it is gone, their hair is entirely black. Vash's weapon uses a tremendous amount of power - his hair began to darken after the second time he fires it. Throughout the manga, Vash's hair continues to grow darker until it is almost completely black.
Antidepressant Scale
Requirements: Level 2 Melee; equipped guitar.
Description: I-No throws a music note that flies forward; the vertical motion can be controlled by her. The further it travels the more hits it will do upon impact.
Assher Dist
Requirements: Slayer Magic.
Description: Assher Dist is an offensive spell. It is not surely known which category it belongs to; some sources list it under black magic, others under astral shamanistic magic. (Considering its effects, the latter seems to be more likely.) This single-target spell is designed to attack undead. Most undead creatures such as vampires will disintegrate on contact, leaving only a small quantity of black dust behind.
Aura Wall
Requirements: Arbel Nox only.
Description: Arbel creates a barrier in front of him that lasts for 6 seconds. Opponents who walk in continually take MP damage (ie, become spiritually weakened) until they leave or the wall dissipates. There is a small chance of causing confusion as well. Takes awhile to set up, so don't use it too close to the opponent.
Balus Rod
Requirements: Slayer Magic.
Description: Balus Rod is an offensive black magic spell. It makes a whip of light appear in the caster's palm which can be used to attack. Unlike spells which are shot like projectiles, the movement of the whip can be more tightly controlled by the caster, improving the chances of hitting the target. The primary weakness of the spell is its short range.
Bandit Revolver
Requirements: Level 2 Brawl.
Description: Sol leaps towards the enemy with a jumping knee with one leg, then performs a spinning axe kick with his other leg. If done up-close, this move will knock the enemy down. It would at first seem pretty useless against oncoming attacks, but if used effectively in combos it opens up some pretty sick chains.
Battlestrike
Requirements: Force Sensitivity.
Description: You are able to use the Force to enhance your battle prowess. By meditating for a few moments, you can encrease your damage output as well as your reaction times. See Qui-Gon Jinn during his fight with Darth Maul in Episode 1.
Bide
Requirements: One of the 15 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling, or one of the 10 races that learn it from breeding.
Description: "Endures attack for 2 turns to retaliate double." The user of this ability does nothing for 2 rounds of combat, then strikes back, doubling the attack power of the attack.
Blade Rush
Requirements: Level 1 Melee; equipped sword.
Description: "Dash attack that slices enemies in half." Laharl raises his sword in the air and then charges at the enemies in front of him. He stops right after passing them and backflips back to his inital position. Blade Rush does about the same damage as a normal attack (maybe a bit more), and requires the space ahead of him to not be obstructed.
Blast Ash
Requirements: Slayer Magic.
Description: Blast Ash is a offensive black magic spell. The caster makes a black void appear in a certain area, and anything alive or possessing an astral body is turned into ash. Inanimate objects such as the ground, buildings, and equipment are not affected; the spell has an effect of a relatively large area, making this one of the few black magic spells which can be used in cramped alleys and town squares.
Blast Wave
Requirements: Slayer Magic.
Description: Blast Wave is a black magic spell with many uses. By putting both of his hands on the target, the caster creates a hole in it which is big enough for an adult to walk through. Although most often used on inanimate objects such as walls, the spell also has some offensive potential. However, because both hands need to touch the target while casting, the caster must get very close, which means using Blast Wave like this can be called risky at best.
Blasting Zone
Requirements: Level 3 Melee; equipped Gunblade.
Description: Squall points his Gunblade to the sky and calls forth a massive energy. A dark wind surrounds his body as a mysterious light radiates from his weapon. The energy seeths through his body causing him to unleash a powerful attack against all enemies.
Blazing Knuckle
Requirements: Electric Hellfire.
Description: A fire-based attack that surrounds Laharl's fist and with a punch explodes into a huge firey blast. Often he performs it from the air, coming down on top of the enemy.
Body Splitting
Requirements: Spellcasting; Goddess race.
Description: Goddesses are actually multi-dimensional beings and can thus only seen by regenerating a three-dimensional atomic structure. Body Splitting allows a Goddess to manipulate this structure and split her body into multiple pieces (example: lean hallway into a wall and have her upper half come out of a different wall).
Boulder Crush
Requirements: Level 1 Melee; equipped axe.
Description: "A blow powerful enough to pulverize rock." Etna slashes the enemy once, then jumps up and slashes again. Decent damage.
Calamity Drive
Requirements: Level 5 Melee; equipped axe.
Description: "Splits into four and blasts the enemy away." Etna rushes towards enemy and slashes once, sending them skywards, then slashes in a zig-zag fashion 4 more times, and finally drives the enemy back down to earth from above. 6 hits total. If your enemy isn't weak to fire, this is THE attack to use. Massive, huge, big numbers that make Hit Points go away.
Chakra Manipulation
Requirements: None.
Description: Essential to even the most basic jutsu, chakra is a mixture of the energy present in every cell of the body and the spiritual energy gained from exercise and experience. Once mixed, it can be channeled through the chakra circulatory system, which is to chakra as the regular circulatory system is to blood, to any of the 361 chakra points on the body. Through various methods, the most common of which is handseals, the chakra can then be manipulated to create an effect that would not be possible otherwise, such as walking on water. In the context of oriental martial arts philosophy, chakra is equivalent to Qi (Chi).
Chaos Impact
Requirements: Etna only.
Description: Etna discharges incredible amounts of dark energy that is exploded by a tremendous ball of energy.
Charge
Requirements: Level 1 Melee; equipped sword.
Description: Standard charge attack. Arbel's Charge is the strongest in terms of pure HP damage among the 8 characters in Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, so it's worth using in some situations; however like all charge attacks, it's very short range.
Charge
Requirements: One of the 17 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling, or one of the 6 races that learn it from breeding.
Description: "Charges power to boost the electric move used next." Increases the attack power of the next electric attack by an unknown percentage.
Chemical Love
Requirements: Level 2 Melee; equipped guitar.
Description: I-No flips upside down and snaps her guitar strings creating a visable sound vibration that hits horizontally.
Chikatsu Saisei no Jutsu
Requirements: Chakra Manipulation; Level 4 Medicine.
Description: Translated as Healing Resuscitation Regeneration Technique. This jutsu is used for severe injuries, utilizing a part of the user's body as a medium to heal their injuries. The technique requires a great deal of time and concentration, with medical personnel needing to switch places so that they can rest.
Colossal Fissure
Requirements: Level 2 Melee; equipped axe.
Description: "An attack so powerful that it cracks the earth." Etna jumps up in the air, spinning around, and lands axe first on the foe, sending them skyward. She then jumps upwards and knocks them with huge force back down to ground, hitting them two more times, for a total of three greatly damaging blows.
Context Sensitivity
Requirements: Conker only.
Description: Conker has the unique ability to acquire whatever he needs for a given situation simply by standing on an icon and "pressing B". Whether it's being able to turn into a giant anvil to smash through the floor of a massive wooden water bucket or pulling a shotgun out of seemingly nowhere in order to kill a horde of zombies, he always seems to have the right tools for the job. He just doesn't seem to ever have them when he doesn't need them though.
Daisan no Me
Requirements: Chakra Manipulation; sand.
Description: Translated as Third Eye. This allows Gaara to create a floating eyeball of sand in any location that he can see through as a means of spying.
Dark Claw
Requirements: Slayer Magic.
Description: Dark Claw is an offensive black magic spell. The spell releases several magical energy balls, which tend to resemble winged insects, although the contours are somewhat unclear. These balls disintegrate matter on contact. The area of effect is small, so the target might "merely" lose an arm or leg when hit.
Deceptive Strength
Requirements: Succubus race.
Description: Despite Etna's tiny demeanor, she is remarkably strong, able to wield axes and spears as if they were toothpicks. She is also shown to be able to punch a Prinny into orbit, signaling that she has at least some form of super strength.
Dimension Slash
Requirements: Level 5 Melee; equipped sword.
Description: "Its power echoes throughout the universe." Character jumps back and backflips into the air, gathers energy, and slashes, causing a huge energy blade to slash onto your foes. Great Power and Range. Hits a rather large area directly in front of Laharl. Still not as much damage as Nightsever, though.
Discharge
Requirements: One of the 26 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling, or one of the 2 races that learn it from breeding.
Description: "May induce paralysis." An 80 Base Power electric special attack that has 100 Accuracy and a 30% chance to paralyze the opponent.
Disfang
Requirements: Slayer Magic.
Description: Disfang is an offensive black magic spell. The spell animates the caster's shadow, which roughly takes the form of several dragons and proceeds to attack the shadows of the designated opponents. The shadow-creatures are able to bite out parts of the target's shadow, and damage taken by the shadow is immediately reflected on the target's physical body as well. Methods which make one's shadow disappear can be used as a defensive measure.
Dokkassō
Requirements: Character must possess natural claws.
Description: Translated as Poison Flower Claws. Sesshomaru's claws release deadly acidic poison which can melt flesh and virtually anything else very quickly. Sometimes he uses it like InuYasha uses his Exorcising Claws of Steel (Iron Reaver Soul Stealer) attack, but he can also use it in the form of a green attack that looks like he's spraying acid.
Dokunuki no Jutsu
Requirements: Chakra Manipulation; Level 3 Medicine.
Description: Translated as Poison Extraction Technique. This jutsu allows the user to utilize chakra to pull some poison from someone's body without doing bodily harm to him or her, and then proceed to make an antidote for the poison. Sakura uses this jutsu on Kankuro and even goes so far as to create an antidote that no one else was able to make.
Dokugiri Zuyoku: Baribari Shikaku Renpatsu
Requirements: Karasu; Kuroari.
Description: Translated as Poison Fog: Blind Spot Destroyer. Karasu blankets the area in a smokescreen while Kuroari fires poisoned needles at the blinded opponent.
Double Slash
Requirements: Level 2 Melee; equipped sword.
Description: An upwards-downwards strike. It's very fast and easy to use, so well-worth using it, and works well in combos.
Double Slash of Fury
Requirements: Level 3 Melee; Double Slash; equipped sword.
Description: In technical terms, the same as Air Slash of Fury; you can continuously press the button for extra hits. Not as useful as Air Slash of Fury thanks to the short range nature and the tendency of Double Slash to knock down the opponent, as well as lack of MP damage.
Double Team
Requirements: One of the 23 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling.
Description: "Creates illusory copies to raise evasiveness." The Pokémon pulls a Naruto Uzumaki and uses clones to confuse its opponent.
Doubleslap
Requirements: One of the 15 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling, or one of the 7 races that learn it from breeding.
Description: "Repeatedly slaps the foe 2 to 5 times." A 15 Base Power normal physical attack with 85 Accuracy; randomly hits 2-5 times.
Dragon Install
Requirements: Sol Badguy only.
Description: Sol channels his hidden energy and unleashes it into a flaming berserker rage. Afterwards, his body surges with a reddish glow, and his techniques are sped up for a short period of time. If you think Sol was a sick bastard before, use this move properly and you'll be called the
king of cheese. Pretty much EVERY normal attack can be chained quickly
together. His V.Viper is greatly improved -- Sol will soar high into the air in a gigantic eruption of flames. The large amount of energy used to powerup Sol takes its tole on him after awhile, and he slumps over exhausted once the effects wear off. Needless to say, you're vulnerable afterwards. Note that during the initial startup of this move, Sol can't be hit. Keep that in mind....
Dragon Roar
Requirements: Albel Nox only.
Description: Arbel summons out 6 dragon heads that dive towards the enemy. Each head does 3 hits for a total of 18, but the attack area is so wide and each hit has a chance of knocking down, so it is rare for you to get all 18 hits.
Electric Hellfire
Requirements: Overlord race.
Description: In the anime, Laharl is seen to be able to generate and manipulate a hellfire-like substance that crackles with electricity. He can coat weapons with the stuff -- including his fists -- or simply form energy balls out of it to throw at his opponents.
Encore
Requirements: One of the 21 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling, or one of the 33 races that learn it from breeding.
Description: "Makes the foe repeat its last move over 2 to 6 turns." A 100 Accuracy status effect that forces an opponent to repeat their last action.
Enhanced Senses
Requirements: Canine-related race.
Description: Due to his lineage, Sesshomaru exhibits the ability of having extremely heightened senses. Sesshomaru has particularly shown his heightened sense of smell, such as being able to tell the Band of Seven were undead due to the scents of soil (graveyard soil in particular), and he was also able to tell that InuYasha's scent changed when the latter temporarily changed into a full demon. Through smell alone, Sesshomaru is also able to learn about events that is transpiring from far away or even an event that has already happened. Besides the five basic senses, Sesshomaru's ability in sensing other's auras are exceptional.
Fake Out
Requirements: One of the 13 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling, or one of the 29 races that learn it from breeding.
Description: "A 1st-turn, 1-st strike move that causes flinching." A 40 Base Power normal physical attack with 100 Accuracy. It has a 100% chance to cause the opponent to flinch.
Fated Circle
Requirements: Level 2 Melee; equipped Gunblade.
Description: Squall arches his weapon across his shoulder and leaps into the air, hurling hot scorching sparks of fire at his opponent.
Fearless
Requirements: The Joker only.
Description: During the Knightfall saga after Scarecrow and the Joker team up and kidnap the mayor of Gotham City, Scarecrow turns on the Joker and uses his fear gas to see what Joker is afraid of. To Scarecrow's surprise the gas has no effect on Joker, who in turn beats Scarecrow with a chair. This suggests that due to his insanity, the Joker literally has no fear, or at least has no hidden demons.
Feint
Requirements: One of the 13 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling, or one of the 10 races that learn it from breeding.
Description: "Only works when foe uses Protect or Detect." A 50 Base Power normal physical with 100 Accuracy that only works when a foe is defensive.
Ferrous Bleed
Requirements: Slayer Magic.
Description: Ferrous Bleed is a summoning spell. Most sources categorize it into black magic, although these very sources describe the spell's original function incorrectly. As explained by Lina Inverse in the fourth novel, this spell summons a gargoyle. However, when she was trapped by a mazoku in subspace, Lina altered the incantation a little on-the-fly to make the spell summon a dove instead. This fact had led many fans, especially those who watched only the anime version of the scene, to believe that Ferrous Bleed is used to call animals to the caster's location.
Fire Elemental Magic
Requirements: Spellcasting; World of Elegance.
Description: Urd's angel, World of Elegance, belongs to the domain of fire and thus Urd is able to wield fire magic. However, she only uses it in Chapter 89 to counteract Skuld's water magic that had gone awry. Fire magic appears as Urd's attack in the Movie.
Flight
Requirements: Succubus race.
Description: Etna possesses a small pair of classic demon wings on her back which allow her to fly. This Ability also acts as Level 3 Piloting, but only for traveling with this power.
Flight
Requirements: Laharl only.
Description: In the anime, Laharl's scarf functions as an extension of his own body. He is able to manipulate objects using it as well as fashion a pair of demonic wings with it, allowing him to fly. This Ability also acts as Level 3 Piloting, but only for traveling with this power.
Flight
Requirements: Spellcasting.
Description: Urd can magically enchant a broomstick to fly on, just like a witch of folklore. However, unlike a witch, she only rides side-saddle. This Ability also acts as Level 3 Piloting, but only for traveling with this power.
Flight
Requirements: Sesshomaru only.
Description: Sesshomaru's ability to float in the sky or generate a sparkling dust cloud to ride on. Whenever Sesshomaru uses his flight powers for an extended period of time, the leg bottoms of his hakama extend to semi-transparent ephemeral flowing masses, similar to how one would picture the wind driven cloak of a ghost. This does not happen when he chooses to fly upon his dust cloud or ride Ah-Un. Also sometimes his mokomoko-sama extends to a huge length when this happens, and sometimes other mokomoko-sama’s are formed from the original that lift him up in the sky and only disappear or retract back into the original mokomoko-sama when he is no longer flying. This Ability also acts as Level 3 Piloting, but only for traveling with this power.
Force Sensitivity
Requirements: Level 1 Alertness.
Description: Force-sensitivity is a condition in the fictional Star Wars universe where a life form possesses a natural connection to the Force. Though the Force flows through all life, with only rare exceptions (such as the Yuuzhan Vong), outright sensitivity to it is a more uncommon trait. Force-sensitivity is a trait established at birth, and is revealed in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace to be the product of midichlorians, microscopic beings that exist symbiotically with other life forms, and allow the Force to flow through their hosts. There also appear to be varying levels of Force-sensitivity, or "Force potential." This could range from a relatively modest level (such as Tionne, one of Luke Skywalker's first Jedi students), to very high levels (such as Yoda and Darth Sidious) to exceptionally rare beings of astronomical power (such as Anakin Skywalker, and perhaps his descendants Luke and the Solo children). Typically, the term Force-sensitivity is used to denote a high-level of Force-sensitivity, high enough that Force powers may manifest spontaneously, and strong enough that the individual can be trained in the ways of the Jedi or Sith traditions.
Force Thrust
Requirements: Force Sensitivity.
Description: You are able to pound one or more creatures with the Force. This is more often referred to as Force Push, since anyone or anything within a 6 ft˛ cone is thrown back and usually knocked prone. Unless someone is thrown into or off something, Force Thrust really doesn't do much damage.
Fourth Wall Immunity
Requirements: The Joker only.
Description: The Joker is often portrayed as having a heightened sense of self-awareness that other characters do not, such as being aware of being in a comic book. This fourth wall awareness also seems to carry over to Batman: The Animated Series. The Joker is the only character to talk directly into the "camera", and can be heard whistling his own theme music in the episode adaptation of the comic Mad Love. In the Marvel vs DC crossover, he also demonstrates knowledge of the first Batman/Spider-Man crossover even though that story's events did not occur in the canonical history of either the Marvel or DC universe. On page five of "Sign of The Joker", the second half of the "Laughing Fish" storyline, The Joker turns the page for the reader, bowing and tipping his hat in mock politeness.
Fūsajin no Jutsu
Requirements: Chakra Manipulation; equipped oversized-fan.
Description: Translated as Dust Wind Technique. Using a giant fan, this jutsu will blow a strong wind current which will cover the surrounding area in dust. Afterwards, the affected area will become extremely slippery from all the loose dust.
Fūton: Mugen Sajin Daitoppa
Requirements: Shukaku transformation.
Description: Translated as Wind Style: Sandstorm Devastation. Shukaku spews large amounts of sand from his mouth, devastating both the enemy and a large area around him.
Fūton: Tatsu no Oshigoto
Requirements: Chakra Manipulation; equipped oversized-fan.
Description: Translated as Wind Release: Severing Pressure. With her fan, Temari summons a tornado that descends from the sky and traps the enemy, cutting them up nicely in the process.
Gadgets
Requirements: Arsčne Lupin only.
Description: Lupin is a master thief, and as such he has an arsenal of toys as his disposal relevant to his profession. It is assumed that he always has access to whatever thief-related equipment he needs to complete his task.
Gadgets
Requirements: The Joker only.
Description: The Joker usually commits crimes with countless "comedic" weapons, such as razor-sharp playing cards, acid-spewing flowers, cyanide pies, and lethally electric joy buzzers. As such, he is considered to have any sort of such a gadget on hand at any given time.
GF Summoning
Requirements: None.
Description: In Final Fantasy VIII, Guardian Forces (GFs) are summoned beasts that help your party in battle. Each share many similiarties to characters, featuring HP, experience, AP, and growth. Guardian Forces possess special abilities available both as menu commands and innate abilities that help your characters in battle. Guardian Force abilities are either innate or command activated, depending on the type of ability. Because this RPG doesn't work like a console-based RPG, there's no way to really account for a GF's abilities in a similar manner. As such, this ability simply represents your character's knowledge in using an item (of some sort) to summon a GF. These items are generally found in Storylines/Battles/Spars, but some might show up in random searches.
Giga Slave
Requirements: Slayer Magic; Lina Inverse only.
Description: The Giga Slave is a dangerous and highly destructive spell, one of the few which call upon the power of the Lord of Nightmares. As she is niether shinzoku nor mazoku, it does not belong to black or holy magic. It is Lina Inverse's original creation. The Giga Slave may very well be the most powerful spell of all time, the perfect version's power annihilating anything unfortunate enough to be in it's way. Even the inperfect version of the spell was able to destroy a piece of Ruby Eye Shabranigdu. Casting the spell is very dangerous, however. According to shinzoku sources, should the caster fail to cast it properly or lose control of it, the spell would destroy the entire world. The notorious miscasting of the Giga Slave in Hellmaster Fibrizo's temple shed some new light on the subject. As the Lord of Nightmares explained herself, the spell brings her in person, not just part of her power, into the world. If the caster then loses control of the spell, the world will practicly be at her mercy. Considering the Golden Lord's capricious nature, such an event needs to be avoided at all costs; because of that, Lina uses the Giga Slave only under the most dire circumstances.
Goddess Level Strength
Requirements: Goddess race.
Description: All of the Goddess that appear in the series seem to possess superhuman strength. Only the "Combat Division" Goddesses use it for anything other than slapstick humor (or saving Keiichi) though.
Gokusamaisō
Requirements: Chakra Maniplation; sand.
Description: Translated as Prison Sand Burial. Gaara uses this jutsu to loosen the ground beneath an opponent and allow them to sink hundreds of feet underground, where the sand compresses to such an extent that the opponent is no longer able to move.
Grand Viper
Requirements: Level 3 Brawl.
Description: Sol quickly dashes towards his foe for a short distance, charging into them for 3 hits before sending them high into the air for 2 more using a modified V.Viper. Not as much anti-air priority as his regular V.Viper, but highly effective up-close. It can even slide underneath most fireballs during the initial dash. It's also good to combo with. Of course, its drawback is that you need to be close to your opponent to score maximum damage, and the lag after the move is equal (if not more) to the lag of the regular V.Viper. It CAN hit a downed opponent, but isn't recommended. Due to its emphasis on needing to be used at close range, using it at anything more than sweep distance away from your foe would be foolish.
Graviton Bomb
Requirements: Level 4 Melee; equipped axe.
Description: "Creates a gigantic gravitational explosion." Etna jumps high into the air and comes down with such great force, an aura of fire surrounds her. She comes down hard onto a foe, causing HUGE fire elemental damage. If an enemy is weak or neutral to fire, make this your number one form of attack. Otherwise, stick to Violent Storm.
Growl
Requirements: One of the 94 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling.
Description: "Growls cutely to reduce the foe's ATTACK." A 100 Accuracy status effect that lowers a foe's attack power by one stage.
Gun Flame
Requirements: Level 1 Brawl.
Description: Sol thrusts his sword into the ground in front of him, the resulting shock sending a short wave of flames towards the enemy. If this hits, the opponent will be knocked into the air slightly. If he nails the opponent with this and times it just right, he can leap up after the opponent for a short air combo. The drawbacks of this move is: 1) it's slow, and very hard to combo, 2) if done too close you run a risk of completely missing your foe, and 3) it has limited range. Other than that, it still has some limited priority--it's able to negate most fireballs and still hit/trade hits with the opponent.
Guts Accelerator
Requirements: Spellcasting; Level 4 Herbalism.
Description: This potion has a unique route of delivery - mouth to mouth. It makes a person try to achieve a goal wih a single-minded determination, regardless of the danger. Urd used this to "help" Keiichi in a race against Sora.
Hand of Doom
Requirements: Level 3 Brawl.
Description: Arbel attacks with his claw three times. The third attack does 4 hits for a total of 6 hits, if the whole thing hits. Has a chance of Guts damage, which really has no meaning in this game.
Hell Blast
Requirements: Slayer Magic.
Description: Hell Blast is an offensive black magic spell. This spell creates a spear of darkness which steals the life force of the target. It is effective against all types of life-sustaining energy, making it possible to even destroy undead with it.
Henge no Jutsu
Requirements: Chakra Manipulation.
Description: Translated as Transformation Technique. This is one of many basic jutsu that all aspiring ninja must know. Once properly learned the user can assume the appearance of any person, animal, or object.
Hurricane Slash
Requirements: Level 1 Melee; equipped sword.
Description: "Target is at the mercy of a raging hurricane." Laharl circles the enemy so fast it creates a hurricane that raises the enemy upward. He then jumps up and slashes the enemy down to the ground, then slashes the now grounded enemy. Hits twice for good damage.
Immunity
Requirements: Daiyōkai or other "greater" demonic race.
Description: Sesshomaru is immune to diseases, poisons, and gases that can paralyze or kill both humans and weaker yōkai. His greatest resistance seems to be towards holy and divine powers, while his weakest is towards the mystical abilites of other yōkai, such as his brother Inuyasha's Kaze no Kizu. He is all but immune to purification barriers, Kagome's Hama no Ya, and Naraku's absorption powers. The last of these is mostly due to Sesshomaru's demonic purity, causing his aura to emanate around his body in perfect "completion". Sesshomaru is also, again due to his lineage, highly immune to the effects of aging. While he is intended to appear to be around 19-years-old, he is actually more than 200 years old.
Insane Strength
Requirements: Overlord race.
Description: In the anime, Laharl has deceptive characteristics. One would think that a being of his stature would be weak, but Laharl is anything but. During several instances he is able to completely halt an opponent's sword strike using only his index finger and thumb. One such instance occurs against a 100-foot demon whose sword is about the size of a semi-truck.
Invulnerability
Requirements: Overlord race.
Description: In the anime, Laharl is able to take just about any attack and get right back up. He even suffers little more than a slight charring of his palm after receiving "Divine Punishment" for touching a holy talisman.
Jagan
Requirements: Ban Mido only.
Description: Translated as Evil Eye. This is a power which allows Mido to make anyone he makes eye contact with watch a one minute long illusion, though it can only be used a maximum of three times per day. It should be noted that Ban never uses his illusion of the Evil Eye/Jagan to defeat his opponents, but rather uses it to get back a client's memory or to complete the objective of his job.
Joker Venom
Requirements: The Joker only; Level 3 Science.
Description: Joker venom has been a part of the Joker's arsenal since his first appearance in Batman #1 (1940). The venom is often deployed as an airborne agent, but can also be used in its liquid form (used both to poison victims through their unwitting consumption of it, or in special darts). It exists in both lethal and non-lethal strains. On contact, the lethal version causes uncontrollable spasms of laughter and then causes a painful death. Some have speculated that the venom hyperstimulates the laughter functions of the brain and the victim is unable to breathe. The non-lethal version causes uncontrollable laughter, but instead of dying, their faces are usually pulled into an unusually large grin. Artists often stylize the effects, adding yellowed teeth, bulging eyes, etc. similar to the features of the Joker himself. Prolonged exposure to this strain can lead to brain damage.
Kage Bunshin no Jutsu
Requirements: Chakra Manipulation.
Description: Translated as Shadow Clone Technique. This jutsu creates actual copies, not illusions, of the user with whatever damage and weapons the original may have. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. Because of this, the technique itself is considered dangerous; when creating multiple copies of one's self it is possible to use up all of one's chakra fairly quickly if the user is not paying attention to their chakra levels. Any experience the shadow clone gain during their existence is transferred to the user once they are dispersed (occurs at the clones discretion or after it receives a solid blow). This makes the technique ideal for spying, since the user can simply send a clone to spy on a target and then have the clone disperse itself to quickly pass the information back to the user.
Kamaitachi no Jutsu
Requirements: Chakra Manipulation; equipped oversized-fan.
Description: Translated as Cutting Whirlwind Technique. Temari's fan is primary used for performing this jutsu, which creates guidable gusts of wind that she can use to attack opponents over long distances.
Karasu
Requirements: Chakra Manipulation; Level 1 Crafts; Kugutsu no Jutsu.
Description: Translated as Crow. The first of Kankuro's puppets to make an appearance, it is typically kept wrapped in bandages on Kankuro's back in Part I, and he is able to switch places with it at will using a technique similar to the Body Replacement Technique. Because of Kankuro's enjoyment in installing mechanisms into his puppets, Karasu is an offensive puppet, having numerous concealed weapons and being able to detach any of its limbs for separate attacks.
Kawarimi no Jutsu
Requirements: Chakra Manipulation.
Description: Translated as Body Replacement Technique. This is one of many basic jutsu that all aspiring ninja must know. It allows the user to quickly switch places with a nearby object to either escape or distract opponents. While logs are typically used for this jutsu, anything can act as the replacement, people included.
Kenatsu
Requirements: Must possess the Tōkijin to perform, but not learn.
Description: Translated as Sword Pressure, it is Tōkijin's ability to cut and harm enemies without physical contact. In the beginning, it takes the form of a rain of needle-like energy which deals moderate damage to foes. Later, as Sesshomaru fully masters the sword, he releases it as a blue wave of energy which completely disintegrates the adversary. The strength of this attack depends on how it is unleashed by Sesshomaru. Usually it shoots beams of blue light, and when Sesshomaru utilizes its full potential it comes out in the form of parallel blue trails of energy similar to how InuYasha’s Kaze no Kizu (Wind Scar) is released. Amazingly, one Kenatsu is seen as being able to cut Inuyasha’s Kaze no Kizu attack, unleashed by his Tessaiga, in half mainly because of the yōkai levels of the users’ of the respective swords. This implies that Sesshomaru can mix in some of his yôki in the kenastu blasts.
Kuchiyose no Jutsu
Requirements: Chakra Manipulation; Temari only.
Description: Translated as Summoning Technique. Temari is able to use her fan as a medium for summoning Kamatari, a one-eyed sickle weasel that creates gusts of wind, akin to a storm, that are capable of decimating an entire forest.
Kugutsu no Jutsu
Requirements: Chakra Manipulation.
Description: Translated as Puppet Technique. It was created by Monzaemon Chikamatsu in order to convert a form of entertainment into a style of combat. The technique utilizes strings of chakra extending from the user's fingers to control a puppet's movements. Those who can effectively use this ability are rare, but once mastered the user can hide in a safe location while his puppet does the work for him. Skilled puppeteers are able to manipulate multiple puppets simultaneously, with Chiyo being able to use each of her ten fingers to control a different puppet. These chakra strings also allow puppeteers to manipulate other people or objects, controlling their movements to help or hinder their progress in battle.
Kuroari
Requirements: Chakra Manipulation; Level 3 Crafts; Kugutsu no Jutsu.
Description: Translated as Black Ant. The second of Kankuro's puppets to make an appearance, it does not contain as many hidden weapons as Karasu since it was designed primarily for abduction and assassination rather than frontline combat. Nevertheless, each of its arm segments contain a hidden saw-blade which can be used to inflict large slicing wounds to opponents. Kuroari's primary function is to trap opponents within itself while weapons enter the slots along its body to puncture the opponent.
Kurohigi Kiki Ippatsu
Requirements: Karasu; Kuroari.
Description: Translated as Black Secret Technique Machine One Shot. This attack also displays the puppets' abilities to work together, where Karasu navigates an opponent into Kuroari's torso. Once trapped, Karasu separates its limbs to reveal a number of concealed weapons and enters the slots on Kuroari's body to impale the opponent.
Kurohigi Kiki Nihatsu
Requirements: Karasu; Kuroari.
Description: Translated as Black Secret Technique Machine Two Shot. Similar to Kurohigi Kiki Ippatsu, this attack calls upon four scythe-like blades to run along the sides of Kuroari's body, reaping the victim inside.
Last Will and Testament
Requirements: I-No only; equipped guitar.
Description: I-No slaps the enemy sending them to a music stage where the enemy is toggled by massive sound vibrations through large speakers played by her guitar. Tends to liquify an opponent.
Lightsaber Combat
Requirements: Force Sensitivity; Level 1 Melee; equipped Lightsaber.
Description: Lightsaber combat describes the fictional fighting styles employed by Jedi and Sith characters in the Star Wars multi-media franchise. The details of the lightsaber styles are never mentioned directly in the released Star Wars films, but they are explored in novelizations as well as Expanded Universe sources such as magazines, comic books, the Star Wars Role-playing Game and "Visual Dictionaries." According to Nick Gillard, the various styles were devised for the prequels and intended to further characterize their practitioners. According to Star Wars: Attack of the Clones The Visual Dictionary, each Jedi chooses the style of lightsaber combat that best suits him or her. For example, the shorter Master Yoda uses the Ataru form to compensate for his lack of reach and height, as well as to take advantage of his nearly limitless amount of Force power; Mace Windu uses Vaapad to tap into his anger and employ it constructively (without giving himself over to the dark side); Count Dooku's practice of the Makashi form fits his intention to frequently engage in lightsaber-to-lightsaber combat as well as his emphasis on class, elegance, and precision. The Jedi Exile from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II was an expert in many of these forms but never relied on just one. This Ability covers all aspects of lightsaber combat, including the ability to deflect projectiles with a lightsaber.
Light Screen
Requirements: One of the 22 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling, or one of the 19 races that learn it from breeding.
Description: "Creates a wall of light that lowers SP. ATK damage." It reduces the damage from the next special attack by half.
Lionheart
Requirements: Squall Leonhart only; equipped Gunblade.
Description: A massive ball of energy surrounds Squall's weapon, charging it with a deadly power. Squall strikes his opponent while hurling it into the skies. Squall leaps into the air to follow, strikes the opponent 15 times. A large explosion engulfs the remnants of the enemy as it decends from the sky.
Longing Desperation
Requirements: Level 3 Melee; equipped guitar.
Description: I-No creates multiple visible sound vibrations directly in front of her causing damage to anything in range.
Machine Gun Arm
Requirements: Cybernetic arm.
Description: Vash lost his left arm in an incident involving Knives. He has a cybernetic replacement for that arm, which also conceals an integrated gun. In the beginning, this is a semi-automatic weapon; later on (in both the manga and the anime) it is upgraded to a fully automatic sub-machine gun, which extends and flips over to rest on top of his arm.
Matrix-style Dodging
Requirements: Conker only.
Description: During one of the final levels of Conker's Bad Fur Day, Conker and his girlfriend Berri parody the building invasion of the first Matrix movie. Decked out in leather and uzis, they storm the first floor and take on the Teddies. During this level Conker is able to leap from one pillar to another while slowing down time in order to dodge incoming bullets, just like Neo.
Meidō Zangetsuha
Requirements: Canine-related demonic race (inugami yōkai).
Description: With the reforged Tenseiga, Sesshomaru slashes at an enemy and creates a black crescent shaped gap in the world of the living, sending the "cut" enemy directly to the next world. While at the beginning the wave takes the shape of a crescent resembling a crescent moon, Totosai claims that eventually through training, Sesshomaru will be able to make the wave into a complete circle resembling a full moon. Although the "incomplete" nature of Tenseiga is seemingly prevented Sesshomaru from mastering the ability on his own, Sesshomaru was finally able to master it when Tenseiga resonates with the nearby Tessaiga, allowing him to create a perfectly-circular Meidou. He has since then been able to create a perfect Meidou at will, even outside Tessaiga's presence.
Meteor Impact
Requirements: Overlord race.
Description: Laharl's ultimate (and most powerful/devastating) attack. A massive glyph appears in the sky and after a second or so, the center of the glyph opens up and an enormous meteor decends, destroying everything in sight (Laharl's usually riding on top of it, HAAAHAHAHAHAA-ing as it falls). And, unlike Sephiroth, he can summon several of these babies in a row before feeling like he needs a break.
Mind Trick
Requirements: Force Sensitivity.
Description: You may attempt to use the Force to alter a target's perceptions or plant a suggestion in its mind. For example, you may create a fleeting hallucination that distract the target and enables you to stealthfully move past them, even if the target is aware of you. A version used in the movies would be to make an otherwise unpalatable suggestion seem completely reasonable to the target, but you must be able to communicate with it, nor can it obviously threaten the target's life. Note that some races are naturally immune to mind-affecting Force powers.
Mosh Pit Hell
Requirements: Spellcasting.
Description: A rather ridiculous spell, it compresses a crowd of people together. It works by taking the normal vectors of human crowd movement and deflecting them a little at the outer edges. Urd used this spell to try to make Skuld hate Keiichi on the mistaken assumption that she had fallen in love with him.
Move Object
Requirements: Force Sensitivity.
Description: You may use the Force to telekinetically move a target up to 15 feet in any direction. This ability may be used on living beings or inanimate objects and can be seen in use during each of the Star Wars movies. Usually this power is used to open doors or to throw stuff at people.
Napalm Death
Requirements: Sol Badguy only.
Description: Sol kneels quickly, then wildly leaps upward in a diagonal rage, complete with flames spiraling around him. Despite this move's size, it has little range (you'll need to be just inside sweep distance to nail a standing opponent) and minimal priority. However, it is VERY anti-air, assuring that anyone foolish enough to attempt a jumping-in attack against you will pay dearly.
Nightsever
Requirements: Level 4 Melee; equipped sword.
Description: "Sword slash that severs the dark of the night." Laharl kicks the enemy into the air and rushes after them, sword in hands. He slash 4 preview-esque times to the enemy (no damage) and one final slash (the "real" one), causing a small explosion to hit the enemy, doing great damage. The enemy is again damaged as they land back on the earth.
Overlord's Wrath
Requirements: Electric Hellfire.
Description: Probably Laharl's favorite attack, an orb based attack of his own power. He can blast singular orbs of it quickly or, as he does more often, casts up a bunch at once (usually around a dozen) above the battlefield, then directs them down at an enemy, pounding them from all sides at once. Upon impact they create a huge sphere shaped explosion, making it a difficult move to escape from. If puts enough power into this attack it can be enough to destroy a planet.
Palm of Destruction
Requirements: Arbel Nox only.
Description: Arbel sends a wave of energy out from his hand. Long-range, it has a chance of knocking the opponent down, and it does a little MP damage as well.
Perfect Chakra Control
Requirements: Chakra Manipulation; Sakura Haruno only.
Description: At the start of the series Sakura has few defining abilities, the only notable traits being her intelligence and, as Kakashi Hatake listed, near-perfect chakra control. However, during Part 1 Sakura's initial role is guarding Team 7's object of interest while Naruto, Sasuke, and Kakashi fight off any hostile forces. In battle, she did little more than act the typical "girlish" role. During the timeskip, Sakura becomes Tsunade's apprentice and gains vast personal strength. During Part 2, by building up and releasing her chakra with precise timing, Sakura can easily decimate most obstacles and turn them to rubble. Over time and through repeated use, Sakura has become able to use this strength instinctively and does not need to put any effort into using it. Creating this strength is an impossible task to do without precise chakra control, as noted by Kakashi. This strength, coupled with her medical expertise, her quick temper, and the beauty she gains over the timeskip has caused many to see Sakura as another Tsunade, and even capable of eventually surpassing Tsunade herself.
Pokémon Polyglotism
Requirements: Pokémon race.
Description: Except for a child-sized handful of exceptions, every Pokémon on earth has a speech impairment: they are only capable of saying their racial name, or small fraction of that name. For instance, a Pikachu is only able to say "pikachu", "pika", "chu", or some combination thereof. However, dispite this impairment, every single Pokémon is able to understand each other. They are also able to fully comprehend the language of the human race (Japanese in Japan, English in America).
Poo Bomb
Requirements: Bat race or transformation.
Description: Near the middle of Conker's Bad Fur Day, Conker is transformed into a vampire bat by Count Batula. Before he can be restored to his furry self, he is forced to feed the Count by sacrificing villagers. Being a bat, Conker is unable to fight in the normal sense, so he resorts to simply pooing on the villagers, which knocks them down long enough for him to grab ahold of them and airlift them to a large meat grinder.
Present
Requirements: Delibird, or one of the 20 other Pokémon races that learn it from breeding.
Description: "A gift in the form of a bomb. May restore HP." A 1 Base Power normal physical attack with 90 Accuracy that may hit or heal the user or opponent.
Prinny Raid
Requirements: Succubus race.
Description: Etna summons a swarm of dive-bomber kamikaze demon-penguins to fly into an unassuming target.
Quick Attack
Requirements: One of the 67 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling, or one of the 28 races that learn it from breeding.
Description: "An extremely fast attack that always strikes first." A 40 Base Power normal physical attack with 100 Accuracy.
Ragna Blade
Requirements: Slayer Magic; Lina Inverse only.
Description: Ragna Blade is a spell that calls upon the power of the Lord of Nightmares. It is neither a black magic, nor a holy magic spell, as the Lord of Nightmares herself isn't shinzoku or mazoku. The spells calls forth crackling black energy which roughly takes the form of a sword in the caster's hands. Because of this it can only be used in close combat. Only surpassed in power by the Giga Slave, the Ragna Blade's destructive force is enormous. Its effect extends to the Astral Plane, and no being, not even the Sword of Light or a ma-ō can deflect it, although the stronger mazoku have astral bodies too big to be destroyed by a single swipe. It puts a likewise huge strain on the caster as well: It requires great bucket capacity to be cast (hence it requires amplification for a human caster), and the mere act of keeping the spell active drains the caster's strength tremendously. It isn't known when and where Lina Inverse, the only known caster of this spell, gained knowledge of the Ragna Blade, but it can be assumed that it isn't her original creation, as she mentions it as "the spell I read about".
Regeneration
Requirements: Daiyōkai or other "greater" demonic race
Description: Sesshomaru has recently shown the ability to completely regenerate his wounds in the manga, highlighted by the regeneration of his lost arm.
Resurrect Other
Requirements: Possession of the Tenseiga.
Description: The Tenseiga is special sword in which its power lies in the fact that it can bring the recently dead back to life. Tenseiga allows a powerful user to see the pall bearer demons that take away the souls of the dead. As Tenseiga has the power to connect to the underworld, these demons can be cut and destroyed by it, allowing the soul to return to the dead's body. As the dead revives, their mortal wounds are healed. It is important to note that Tenseiga cannot really heal the living; it resurrects the dead. The literal translation of the kanji is "heavenly life fang" or "fang born out of heaven", but these are not necessarily accurate representations of the name's actual meaning.
Reversal
Requirements: One of the 10 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling, or one of the 25 races that learn it from breeding.
Description: "Inflicts more damage when the user's HP is down." A 1 Base Power fighting physical attack with 100 Accuracy that deals damage based on the user's current HP; the lower the user's HP, the higher the damage.
Riot Stomp
Requirements: Level 4 Brawl.
Description: Leaping quickly backwards, Sol flies across the screen to give his enemy a flaming boot to the face. If it connects, the opponent is knocked backwards against the wall and eats the floor. What can I
really say about this move, except it can be hella cheap. >:) Seriously.
Rough Divide
Requirements: Level 1 Melee; equipped Gunblade.
Description: Squall dashes up to his opponent, his Gunblade sparking as it drags across the ground. When he approaches his opponent, he violently slices upward.
Ryū Sabakuryū
Requirements: Chakra Maniplation; sand; non-Good alignment.
Description: Translated as Flowing Desert Dragon. A variation on the "capture and crush" theme which creates a wave of sand that collapses in a sphere over the opponent.
Ryūsa Bakuryū
Requirements: Chakra Maniplation; sand.
Description: Translated as Quicksand in the Style of a Waterfall. Gaara covers a large area in an ocean of sand.
Sabaku Fuyū
Requirements: Chakra Maniplation; sand.
Description: Translated as Desert Suspension. Gaara can use sand as a platform to allow himself and others to float in the air.
Sabaku Kyū
Requirements: Chakra Maniplation; sand; non-Good alignment.
Description: Translated as Desert Coffin. Gaara uses this jutsu to capture, immobilize, and potentially suffocate an opponent with sand.
Sabaku Rō
Requirements: Chakra Maniplation; sand.
Description: Translated as Desert Prison. If need be, Gaara can protect himself before being put into danger by dedicating a desert's worth of sand to containing a single opponent.
Sabaku Sōsō
Requirements: Chakra Maniplation; sand; non-Good alignment.
Description: Translated as Desert Funeral. Once an opponent is immobilized, Gaara uses this to cause the sand to crush the opponent with varying intensities.
Sabaku Taisō
Requirements: Chakra Maniplation; sand; non-Good alignment.
Description: Translated as Desert Imperial Funeral. Gaara uses this technique following Ryūsa Bakuryū to compress the sand and crush all that it covers.
Saikō Zettai Hōgeki: Shukaku no Hōkō
Requirements: Chakra Maniplation; sand.
Description: Translated as Ultimate Absolute Defense: Shield of Shukaku. At some point in time Gaara begins to be able to form weapons in Shukaku's likeness. This is the first that is seen, which creates a toy-like replica of Shukaku that is roughly twice the size of Gaara. Because the replica is formed under extreme pressure and is built of the strongest minerals it is virtually indestructible, having yet to be penetrated by any force.
Saikō Zettai Bōgyo: Shukaku no Tatte
Requirements: Chakra Maniplation; sand.
Description: Translated as Ultimate Absolute Attack: Shukaku's Halberd. The anime expands on the idea of having an "ultimate defense" by creating an "ultimate attack". The attack creates a spear under the same conditions as the replica, only the blade resembles one of Shukaku's claws. Like the shield, this attack has yet to meet a defense it can't break.
Sake Boost
Requirements: Urd only.
Description: All Goddesses possess some form of alternate energy source which they can use to "recharge their batteries" and allow them to cast spells once again. By drinking sake, Urd's power is restored; note that she's not immune to getting drunk.
Sakura Fubuki no Jutsu
Requirements: Sakura Haruno only.
Description: Translated as Cherry Blossom Blizzard Technique. In the first Naruto movie Sakura frequently encounters Mizore Fuyukuma, a rogue ninja in the land of snow. After numerous encounters, Sakura manages to defeat him with Cherry Blossom Blizzard Technique by throwing numerous kunai attached with bags of exploding tags at him that, once covering Mizore, Sakura detonates with an additional exploding tag to catch him in a large explosion. She also uses this technique in the PS2 game Uzumaki Chronicles 2 where it's an extremely powerful AoE attack, balanced by its very slow activation.
Sanshouo
Requirements: Chakra Manipulation; Level 5 Crafts; Kugutsu no Jutsu.
Description: Translated as Salamander. The third of Kankuro's puppets to make an appearance, it is not seen in action in the manga. In the anime, Sanshouo is shown to have incredible defensive power, having a hollow body that Kankuro and up to two other people can take cover in to defend against attacks.
Sexy Beam
Requirements: Succubus race.
Description: Etna floats elegantly in the air and fires a beam at the ground in a shape of a heart, which really hurts if you are in its path.
Shockwave Swirl
Requirements: Level 1 Melee; equipped sword.
Description: Sends a crescent-shaped wave outward from him. This attack counts as wind-elemental. In practice, you will usually get only 2-3 hits out of the 5 unless the enemy is large.
Shooting Blind
Requirements: Daisuke Jigen only.
Description: Jigen is Lupin's marksman. He can perform a 0.3-second quick-draw and is amazingly accurate. He prefers to conceal his eyes using his hat, as it gives him a more enigmatic appearance; when one or both of his eyes are seen, it is occasionally used to demonstate surprise. In the second anime series, it is revealed that he uses a notch of the hat to aim. However, due to the nature of the series, no single episode could be considered canon; Jigen has been seen shooting excellently without his hat, even in the very series this is mentioned in, he is seen making shots from angles where his hat's notch would be useless and even during times he is not wearing his hat at all.
Shōsen Jutsu
Requirements: Chakra Manipulation; Level 3 Medicine.
Description: Translated as Mystical Palm Technique. This jutsu is a multipurpose technique that can heal wounds and perform surgery. To heal with the ability, users collect chakra to their hand to speed up cell regeneration wherever it is applied. For the latter, the user focuses their chakra into a blade to make cuts where necessary, though because the blade is made of chakra the flesh is never cut. This aspect of the ability can be used in combat, though it requires great precision to be effective.
Shrink
Requirements: Spellcasting.
Description: Urd can shrink herself down to the size of a classic "shoulder angel." She usually does this to "assist" Keiichi in his attempts to woo Belldandy, although she tends to just screw things up even more for the two.
Singing
Requirements: Goddess race.
Description: Goddesses can also cast spells by singing, a fact demonstrated in both the manga and Movie. Urd sings for the first time in Chapter 137 and as it turns out, is quite a capable singer. Goddesses cast their most powerful spells in song, as can be seen in the Movie when Belldandy, Urd, and Skuld all sing in harmony to completely revitalize The World Tree before dematerializing it.
Skillmaster
Requirements: Arsčne Lupin and Fujiko Mine only.
Description: Arsčne Lupin III is an absolute master of his trade. A scoundrel with a heart, Lupin has an encyclopedic knowledge of various topics, like history (both general and the hidden history of crime), the different sciences, languages (he is fluent in virtually every major language), and he shows amazing intuition and awareness of his surroundings. He is incredibly flexible and fast and his manual dexterity is cat-like in precision and quickness, honed from years of stealth and subterfuge. He also possesses incredible skill in the art of disguise, able to impersonate nearly anyone, even women. Since Fujiko is basically just a female clone of Lupin, she has this too. As a result of their experiences, they learn all Skills at -1 day.
Skull Splitter
Requirements: Level 1 Melee; equipped axe.
Description: "Lands a mighty four-hit combo on the enemy." Etna slashes enemy once, kicks them into the air, Slashes again in the air, and finally drops down on the enemy for a total of four hits.
Slam
Requirements: One of the 26 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling, or one of the 17 races that learn it from breeding.
Description: "Slams the foe with a long tail, vine, etc." An 80 Base Power normal physical attack with 75 Accuracy.
Slayer Magic
Requirements: Level 1 Occult.
Description: Black magic spells in the manga and anime series Slayers draw power from mazoku (astral spirits), and are all offensive. Three kinds of spells make up this category: spells that rely on mazoku forces in general (a good example is Blast Ash), spells that use the power of a specific being (such as Giga Slave), and curses and summoning spells. The ones that draw upon specific mazoku are generally the most powerful. After the creation of the mazoku barrier during the Kōma War, and the subsequent prevalence of mazoku within it, black magic grew in popularity. Outside of the formerly barriered area, however, this type of magic is undeveloped, most likely because of a general absence of mazoku. When a mazoku who has specific spells attached to it is destroyed, those spells fail to work.
Snake Kill
Requirements: Level 5 Brawl.
Description: This is an attack Ban Mido uses in the "Get Back the Lost Time" arc, where his skills have grown by leaps and bounds due to his learning abilities. Against Natsuhiko, he managed to execute this new move using his left hand (his right hand is his main attacking hand). I have no clue what it does.
Sōryūha
Requirements: Sesshomaru only; equipped sword.
Description: Translated as Dragon Strike. This attack is unique to the third and fourth movies, appearing neither in the manga nor the anime series. It is a very powerful move on the level of Inuyasha's Bakuryūha. When Sōryūha is unleashed in the third movie, thick arcs of blue lightning stab the earth and carry their destructive force to Sesshomaru's opponent. In the fourth movie it is interesting to note that the energy released by Sōryūha resolves into the shape of a dragon right before destroying the enemy (in keeping with the attack's name). Sōryūha is unique among the various sword techniques of the series in that, unlike moves like the Kaze no Kizu (Wind Scar), Kongosōha (Adamant Barrage), and Meidō Zangetsuha, Sesshomaru is capable of performing Sōryūha with both Tōkijin and Tenseiga - rather than being an ability of either sword, it seems that it is instead a manifestation of Sesshomaru's own yōki, requiring a sword only as a conduit. Another unique fact about this attack is that Seshomaru can use without actually having to swing the sword, but by simply holding it horizonatally and commanding the strike.
Spellcasting
Requirements: None.
Description: This ability allows your character to cast spells. You must learn said spells though; Spellcasting does nothing by itself.
Split
Requirements: Spellcasting.
Description: Urd splits herself several times in the manga. Each Urd is for all purposes autonomous but there is a limit to the number of splittings, the excess ones resembling a limp rag doll. Note that each splitting always results in smaller Urds.
Static
Requirements: Pikachu only.
Description: "The opponent has a 30% chance of being induced with PARALYZE when using an attack, that requires physical contact, against this Pokémon." ZAAAAAP!
Stroke the Big Tree
Requirements: Level 1 Melee; equipped guitar.
Description: I-No slides forward along the ground and swings her guitar up to hit the enemy, causing stagger.
Sultry Performance
Requirements: Level 1 Melee; equipped guitar.
Description: I-No glides down at various angles and strikes with her guitar.
Suna Bunshin
Requirements: Chakra Maniplation; sand.
Description: Translated as Sand Clone. By making a clone of himself, Gaara can have an ally to be used in battle or a mere distraction to be used to buy him time. Unlike most other clone-jutsu in the series, the Sand Clone can retain its shape after more than one attack, and can even reform itself or capture an opponent upon being dispersed.
Suna Hoko
Requirements: Chakra Maniplation; sand.
Description: Translated as Sand Halberd. While Shukaku is in control, Gaara can hurl sand-based forms of the weapons at an opponent.
Suna no Tate
Requirements: Chakra Maniplation; possessed by a sand-related demon.
Description: Translated as Shield of Sand. This is Gaara's primary defense: an automatic sand shield that surrounds and protects him from damage whether he wants it to or not. Gaara can control the shield to some degree, strengthening it to steel-like quality or calling upon it to completely encase himself. While an effective defense, the shield can be overcome with high speed attacks or simply be broken through with incredibly forceful strikes.
Suna no Yoroi
Requirements: Chakra Maniplation; sand; non-Good alignment.
Description: Translated as Armor of Sand. Should Gaara's Suna no Tate be penetrated, Gaara has a second protective layer of sand covering his body. Although it's a useful secondary defense, the armor requires large amounts of chakra to remain active and also has the side-effect of weighing Gaara down.
Suna Shigure
Requirements: Chakra Maniplation; sand.
Description: Translated as Sand Drizzle. This allows Gaara to collect sand in the air and rain it down on an opponent at high speeds in potentially harmful shapes.
Suna Shuriken
Requirements: Chakra Maniplation; sand.
Description: Translated as Sand Shuriken. While Shukaku is in control, Gaara can hurl sand-based forms of the weapons at an opponent.
Suna Yuugao
Requirements: Chakra Maniplation; sand; Gaara only.
Description: Translated as Sand Gourd. This unique jutsu allows Gaara to create a large calabash gourd out of sand, which he carries on his back. Gaara keeps his own chakra-enhanced sand with him at all times in this gourd. Because this sand is already infused with his chakra, Gaara has a great deal more control over it, enabling stronger and faster attacks with it.
Super Jumping
Requirements: Squirrel or other "toonish" race.
Description: By crouching down before jumping, Conker can leap to incredible heights of about ten feet. Large breasted sunflowers tend to make his super jumping that much better.
Super Speed
Requirements: Daiyōkai or other "greater" demonic race
Description: Sesshomaru's instantaneous power grants him the ability to move faster than the eye can see; both on land and through the air. When he does this in the anime, he leaves behind afterimages. He can also instantaneously close long distances without being detected by others.
Super Speed
Requirements: Human-like "plant" race.
Description: Vash is able to move a superhuman speeds, but mostly just during periods of comic relief and "false" stupidity.
Super Strength
Requirements: Daiyōkai or other "greater" demonic race
Description: Sesshomaru possesses physical strength far beyond that of a normal demon. He was able to easily lift InuYasha by the throat into the air with one hand in one of their earlier encounters. In addition, Sesshomaru was seen carrying the boulder-sized demon head of Goshinki in one hand with little-to-no effort. In the InuYasha profiles manga, Rumiko stated that Sesshomaru has Herculean strength, even with only one arm; his strength with only one arm is equal to InuYasha's full strength: the very least of InuYasha's strength allows him to lift a 9 to 10 ton boulder with little effort; since Sesshomaru possesses all of InuYasha's strength in just one of his arms, Sesshomaru would easily be able to lift double that or far more at the least with just one arm.
Superbolt Lightning Ball
Requirements: Spellcasting; Urd only.
Description: A Superbolt Lightning Ball is similar to an Urd Bolt, only it uses much "higher level" of magic.
Superhuman Strength
Requirements: Ban Mido only.
Description: Because of his being a direct descendant of the Witch clan and being born under the star of Asclepius, Ban Mido possesses incredible superhuman strength, which gives him a gripping force of 200 kgf (2 kN) in each hand. Also, as shown in several part in the series, he is strong enough break open the doors of armored steel trucks and punch hard enough to create large craters in the ground or break walls, and occasionally even collapse multi-storied buildings. At full power, his right hand becomes a snake's jaw that can crush anything. He calls this his "Snakebite".
Superhuman Survival
Requirements: The Joker only.
Description: The Joker has cheated death more than just about any other character in comics, even in seemingly inescapable and lethal situations. Though he has been seen to "die" through explosions, has been repeatedly shot, dropped from heights, electrocuted, and through various other means, the Joker always manages to return fully alive and unscathed to wreak havoc again.
Surf
Requirements: Pikachu only.
Description: "Creates a huge wave, then crashes it down on the foe." A 95 Base Power water special attack with 100 Accuracy that hits everyone else in the battle.
Surge
Requirements: Force Sensitivity.
Description: The Force enables you to jump great heights and distances as well as move quickly. This ability is mainly seen only at the very beginning of Episode 1, when Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan are escaping their droid attackers by leaping into ventilation ducts and sprinting down passages at high speeds.
Sweet Project A
Requirements: Spellcasting; Level 3 Herbalism.
Description: One of Urd's more useful concotions, Sweet Project A is a truth serum used to help Belldandy remember what wrong she did against Peorth. It comes in both pill and injectable forms.
Tail Spin
Requirements: Squirrel or other "toonish" race with a tail.
Description: Spin it! Oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh! Ahem. Conker can hover for a few seconds by spining his tail like a helicopter blade. So spin it...Tale Spin!
Tail Whip
Requirements: One of the 51 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling, or one of the 2 races that learn it from breeding.
Description: "Wags the tail to lower the foe's DEFENSE." A 100 Accuracy status effect that lowers an opponent's defense by one stage.
Tanuki Neiri no Jutsu
Requirements: Chakra Maniplation; possessed by a sand-related demon.
Description: Translated as Feigning Sleep Technique. Gaara can unleash the spirit of Shukaku through this technique, which forces him to sleep to allow the Shukaku copy to operate at its full potential. To do so, however, Gaara must emerge from within the copy, leaving him open to attack for the duration of the jutsu. While Gaara is initially dependent on waking independently or through someone else's intervention to regain control of his body, he begins to be able to suppress Shukaku by himself towards the end of the anime's filler arcs.
Teleportation
Requirements: Daiyōkai or other "greater" demonic race
Description: Sesshomaru's ability to morph into a ball of energy and move himself (and small amounts of other material, including other living beings) over great distances in a short amount of time.
That 'The One' Thing
Requirements: Thomas A. Anderson only.
Description: Thomas "Neo" Anderson carries the Prime Program, referred to by the freed human Resistance as being "The One". This gives him the ability to freely manipulate the simulated reality of the Matrix, similar to the authority a system administrator has over a given system. However, he mainly utilizes this ability as various superhuman powers. During the Matrix trilogy, he is shown to use Telekinesis (to lift small objects and for flight in excess of Mach 3), superhuman strength and agility (he can dodge bullets, though he doesn't have to), and is able to heal people, even to the point of resurrecting the recently deceased. In addition, Neo (like most Red Pills) utilizes the Resistance's combat programs, which grant combat abilities equivalent to a martial artist with decades of experience. However, Neo is able to run an unprecedented number of these programs simultaneously; he is therefore a master of every known martial art, including Kung Fu, Jujitsu, Karate, Eskrima, and Taekwondo. Finally, in a more subtle application of Neo's ability is a heightened awareness of the simulated nature of the Matrix, enabling him to easily detect Agents, Exiles, and other anomalous phenomena(such as the presence of explosives). He is even capable of a limited form of precognition, which was described as "seeing the world without time", i.e. visualizing possible futures like a chess player looking several moves ahead.
Thunder
Requirements: One of the 14 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling.
Description: "A lightning attack that may cause paralysis." A 120 Base Power electric special attack with 70 Accuracy and a 30% chance of paralyzing a foe.
Thunder Wave
Requirements: One of the 22 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling, or one of the 2 races that learn it from breeding.
Description: "A weak jolt of electricity that paralyzes the foe." A 100 Accuracy status effect that induces paralysis.
Thunderbolt
Requirements: One of the 5 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling.
Description: "A strong electrical attack that may paralyze the foe." A 95 Base Power electric special attack with 100 Accuracy and a 10% chance of paralyzing a foe.
Thundershock
Requirements: One of the 16 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling.
Description: "An electrical attack that may paralyze the foe." A 40 Base Power electric special attack with 100 Accuracy and a 10% chance of paralyzing a foe.
Tickle
Requirements: One of the 8 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling, or one of the 43 races that learn it from breeding.
Description: "Makes the foe laught to lower ATTACK and DEFENSE." A 100 Accuracy status effect that lower attack and defense by one stage.
Tyrant Rave
Requirements: Level 3 Brawl; level 3 Melee; equipped sword.
Description: Sol gathers his energy into his fist, then punches forward with a huge ball of flames; immediately he uses his sword to slash the flaming ball, causing it to expand in front of him in a monstrous fireshield. This move is pretty powerful, is fairly easy to combo, can hit the enemy up to 4 times, and has great anti-air capabilities. However, it has ho-hum range, going only half the distance of Sol's Gun Flame.
TV Walk
Requirements: Urd only.
Description: All Goddess possess some form of transport medium that allows them to "teleport" vast distances in nearly no time. Belldandy uses mirrors, Skuld water, and Urd televisions. Her introduction in the series is actually through a TV; Keiichi is watching a soft porn and she pops out of the screen. God I wish I was Keiichi.
Ultimate Fortissimo
Requirements: Level 4 Melee; equipped guitar.
Description: I-No performs a short symphony creating vibrations all around her damaging anything within the radius.
Urd Bolt
Requirements: Spellcasting; Urd only.
Description: Urd bolts are Urd's generic attack spells that appear in the form of lightning; they can be found scattered throughout the manga as well as the most recent anime series.
Vampire Flash
Requirements: Albel Nox only.
Description: Creates a field around Arbel; enemies will have their HP and MP drained and Arbel will gain some back. The field is short-lived, but can be further maintained with enough effort by Albel (through button-mashing the controller).
Violent Storm
Requirements: Level 3 Melee; equipped axe.
Description: "A violent furry of axe strikes." This move requires the space behind the enemy to not be obstructed. Hitting 6 times total, Etna rushes through the enemy, hitting four times, knock them into the air, then finally jumps up and lands on their head, axe first.
Virulent Blood
Requirements: Joker Venom.
Description: Joker's blood itself is poisonous, as is stated in Batman #663 when Morrison writes that "being an avid consumer of his products, Joker's immunity to poisons has been built up over years of dedicated abuse" and then when the mosquito sucks Joker's blood, it "writhes and whines, choking on tainted blood".
Vital Transfer
Requirements: Force Sensitivity.
Description: You may use your own life force to heal another living creature, using the Force as a conduit. Note that this is an empathic form of healing; that is, you take damage in order to heal it. This amount is reported to be half of the healed damage in the Star Wars RPG manual.
Volcanic Viper
Requirements: Level 2 Brawl.
Description: Sol uses the inate power of the Fireseal to leap high into the air, hitting the enemy twice with his flaming sword. This move has great priority over almost every oncoming attack -- either from the ground or from the air. Also, if you're powered up after a Dragon Install, it will hit multiple times using a gigantic vertical flame, and does INSANE damage! The major drawback of this move is the lag after the execution -- Sol is wide open to any attack during his decent. Used correctly, this move is argueably the best attack Sol has in his arsenal.
Volt Tackle
Requirements: Pichu and Pikachu only.
Description: "A life-risking tackle that slightly hurts the user." A 120 Base Power electric physical attack with 100 Accuracy that deals 10% of its damage back to the user.
Whip of Light
Requirements: Daiyōkai or other "greater" demonic race; acidic damage bonus requires another acid-based attack, such as Dokkassō.
Description: Sesshomaru can generate a thin, whip like strand of yellow energy from his fingertips that can slice through almost anything. This attack was only in the anime and not in the manga, possibly as an alternate way of getting his hands on Tessaiga in one part of the anime. The whip also displays characteristics of poison akin to the burning effect it has on contact, possibly an extension of his claw attack.
Wild Throw
Requirements: Level 1 Brawl.
Description: This move should've been called the Smackdown, because that's exactly what Sol does. He grabs the opponent, pauses, then mercilessly slams them into the floor with such force that the opponent's carcass is bounced like a basketball. The opponent CAN recover from this move after he's bounced, but there's plenty of time for you to quickly followup with another move before that happens. Also, like the V.Viper, you can perform this move from a dash. The drawback is that you have to be extremely close to your opponent to grab them, since it has little to no range. And let's not mention what could happen if you miss.
Wind Cutter
Requirements: Level 2 Melee; equipped sword.
Description: "Powerful swing which causes a razor-sharp whirlwind." Laharl jumps up and creates a large, buzz-saw like blade of wind that slashes at the enemies positioned in front of him. Good for hitting people over large distances or if you have other people in the way. Does a bit more damage than Blade Rush.
Winged Slayer
Requirements: Level 3 Melee; equipped sword.
Description: "A devastating strike from the sky." Laharl backflips back and jumps into the air, gathering an immense amount of energy, and rushes back down to earth, hitting all enemies in a large area ahead of his initial position. Does about the same damage as Wind Cutter. Requires the space behind him to not be obstructed.
Wish
Requirements: One of the 8 Pokémon races that learn it from leveling, or one of the 27 races that learn it from breeding.
Description: "A wish that restores HP. It takes time to work." A self-heal that's delayed one turn.
World of Elegance
Requirements: Urd only.
Description: World of Elegance is the name of Urd's Angel. In the series Oh! My Goddess, a Goddess is given an Angel which serves as a symbiote, allowing the Goddess to cast spells of elemental domains. World of Elegance is a very unusual angel, bearing one white and one black wing as well as symmetrical black body markings. She allows Urd to cast Fire-based magic spells. Calling out World of Elegance also boosts the potency of Urd's other spells, but doing so obviously draws a lot of attention.
