The son of an eccentric archeologist who had a "monster kick" (as Yakumo put it). His father spent most of his life searching for the mystical Sanjiyan race and when he finally met Pai (a Sanjiyan), he promised to make her human. Before he could do so, however, he died to illness, pointing Pai in the direction of Yakumo and promising that *he* would fulfil Pai's desire. Soon after meeting Pai, Yakumo is fatally injured by Pai's friend, Takuhi. In order to save his life, Pai makes Yakumo her Wu...an indestructible and immortal servant of a Sanjiyan. By doing this, Pai/Sanjiyan merges Yakumo's soul with her own. Of course, the flip side of being a Wu is that Yakumo's life is now bound with that of Pai's. If Pai dies, then he dies; if she becomes human, so will he. Note that while he is immortal, Yakumo still experiences pain as a normal human would.

Ichigo Kurosaki is the protagonist of the Bleach series, a teenager with a bit of a bad attitude and a very short temper. The series begins with Ichigo receiving Shinigami powers as a result of a run-in with Rukia Kuchiki, the Shinigami assigned to patrol Karakura Town. These powers come at the cost of Rukia's own, and as a result, Ichigo concedes to work as Rukia's stand-in, fighting to protect people from evil spirits called hollows and sending good spirits. He keeps to himself a lot and does not like opening up to others, but deep down, he does care about the people around him, even his Dad, who likes to roughhouse with Ichigo. He is sometimes called "Strawberry" because the kanji for his name, Ichigo, also means strawberry.

Minsc (Pronounced "Minsk") is a prominent fictional character in the Baldur's Gate series of Dungeons & Dragons computer role-playing games created by Bioware. Appearing in both games of the series, he served as a light-toned comic relief and was always accompanied by a pet hamster named "Boo", represented as an icon in Minsc's first quickslot. Minsc insists Boo is in fact a highly intelligent being in the body of a hamster ("the only miniature giant space hamster in the Realm"). Some suspect Boo may be just an ordinary hamster, and that Minsc has just taken a few too many blows to the head. (In Baldur's Gate II, he mentions that he was suffering from a head wound when he purchased Boo.)

Khellendros was the mighty Blue Dragon who first became famous as the mount of the Blue Lady during the War of the Lance, and later as a fearsome Dragon Overlord during the Age of Mortals. The blue dragon was featured prominently throughout most of Ansalon's recent history and was a force to be reckoned with. Khellendros' powerful, sleek form is one hundred and sixty feet in length, and covered in scales that deepen from iridescent azure on his belly to dark indigo on his back. His tail stretches an additional one hundred and forty feet, and his wings span almost four hundred. Despite this massive size, Khellendros (known to mortals as Skie) is a sinuous, graceful dragon, whose terrifying visage often bears a cryptic expression—amused, sinister, and distracted all at once. However, upon entering the world of the Planeshift, he was smacked with the Nerf Bat and found himself only 1/15th of his former size afterwards.

Itachi Uchiha is a former ninja of Konohagakure and though having spent his early youth as the kindly child prodigy of the Uchiha clan, he is treated as a villain for much of the series. Itachi is initially portrayed as being solely responsible for the slaughter of his entire clan and family, sparing only his brother Sasuke, with the explanation that he was testing his abilities. Around the time of his death his villainous role is downplayed; not only is he revealed to have had help from Madara Uchiha in killing the clan, but he performed the massacre under the orders of Konoha's leadership so as to prevent an Uchiha coup d'état. Though he was ordered to kill Sasuke as well, Itachi could not bring himself to do so, instead forcing Konoha to keep Sasuke safe or risk Itachi going public with his mission. For his part, Itachi accepts his role as a villain, never telling anyone of who else was involved and even encouraging Sasuke to grow strong enough to kill him and avenge their family.

The Piccolo in the DBZ series is the sole offspring of Piccolo-Daimao from the original. Like his father, his intentions are evil. Capable of regenerating body parts and manipulating his size and shape, Piccolo is a formidable fighter.
