When we left last our intrepid adventurers, they were enjoying themselves at a local pizza joint. It's been a week since then and wouldn't you know it, they're back. Minus one, anyway. After spending a week exploring the city, finding part time work, and hitting up a few stores here and there, Piccolo, Ichigo, and Minsc stumble upon one another at the same resturant.
          "Greetings, fellow adventurers!" cries out Minsc, rather gleefully. Ichigo and Piccolo glance around the room in embarassment.
          "Squeek," adds Boo.
          "Tell me of your grand conquests over this past week!"
          "Why in God's name did I agree to meet these two again?" Ichigo asks himself.
          "I've been working," Piccolo answers dryly.
          "Me too," Ichigo states.
          Ah yes, money does seem to be a basic necessity in this new land. I fear our blades shall grow dull at this pace! Come friends, let us depart this establishment and bring justice to the wicked!"
          "But we haven't eaten yet," Ichigo states. "Aren't you still hungry Piccolo?"
          Piccolo sips on a glass of water, then sets it down. "As much as it pains me to admit it, but no, I'm not. Just get something to go, I could use a good workout."
          "Camaraderie, adventure, and steel on steel. The stuff of legend! Right Boo?"
          "Squeek."
          Minsc laughs heartily as he pushes the door open and exits the place. Piccolo stands up and follows. Ichigo sighs loudly before following as well. "Why me?"
          The trio makes their way from alleyway to alleyway until they finally come across a mugging in action. Ever ready for combat, Minsc quickly unsheathes his sword and cries out "Go for the eyes Boo, GO FOR THE EYES!! RrraaaAAGHGHH!!!" before charging. Piccolo and Ichigo look to each other in mutual sigh-ness.
          Seeing this massive man charging at him sword in hand, the mugger quickly begins running for his life. Minsc chases for a good while, but eventually the mugger loses him and Minsc returns to the others. "We are all heroes: You and Boo and I. Hamsters and rangers everywhere! Rejoice!"
          "I think your friend here needs some help," the woman who was getting mugged states to Ichigo before wandering off.
          "Nay fair maiden, foes of Justice are the ones in need of assistance!" he cries out as she disappears around a corner. "Let us attend to others in need! Onwards!" Piccolo and Ichigo once again mutually sigh.
          Approximately a block away or so we find a new face in this strange new world. A young dark-haired girl passes from person to person, seemingly attempting to get information. However, due to the fact that she's only shyly mumbling single syllable words like "Um", "Can", and "I", the passerbys meet her with only looks of annoyance and angry phrases like "Get out of the way." As more and more people push her aside and continue on their path she grows increasingly more isolated until she finds herself sitting on the ground with her back to a wall, hugging her knees. Lost and alone, she blankly stares into the sea of legs that continues moving unabated.
          "You look like you could use a hand," a male voice states from her left. She turns her head to find a young man leaning up against the same wall next to her.
          "I, uh, um," is all she can manage to reply with as she quickly stands up and turns to face him.
          "Is that so? Well, my name's Yakumo Fujii. I take it you just arrived here?"
          "Um, yeah. How'd you know?"
          "I've been here a lot longer than most of these people. You could say I'm part of the welcoming committee, I guess. I've met a lot of folks that have just arrived here and helped a few of them find their place here."
          "Whe...where am I?"
          "This city's called New York City. It's in a land called the United States of America, on the continent of North America. Does that ring any bells?"
          "No, it doesn't, I'm sorry."
          "There's no need to be. It seems like everyone's world of origin is quite different from this one. This place is some sort of amalgamation of several realities, most people refer to it as the Planeshift."
          "Planeshift?"
          "Yeah, at least that's what the big wigs named it. Believe it or not, but this place is only a little over a year old."
          "I....I don't understand. Why am I here?"
          "No one knows why we're here. Hel, no one knows how we're here. At least there's a power structure in place now, though. That first shift was the definition of chaos."
          "How...Can I go back home?"
          "Well....no one knows that either. Every person that's been brought to this place is either still here, or dead. I'm sorry, but you're stuck here just like everyone else."
          "Oh...." The girl lowers her head despressingly.
          "Hey! Don't let it get you down. There's plenty to do here." Yakumo straightens himself and raises an arm towards the faceless masses. "Every one of those people was just like you once, alone in this strange new world. They were able to find something to keep them going."
          "Something to keep them going?"
          "Yeah, like a new job, learning something new, travelling. Anything to keep themselves alive and going. If you want, I could show you around until you find something like that for yourself. Hell, if you're lucky you might even find someone else from your world that was also brought here."
          "Someone else....?" Can you guess whose face just flashed through her thoughts? (Hint: spikey blonde hair, blue eyes, demon fox.)
          "Yeah, it's possible. Anything's possible here. I know this thief girl that became a Pokémon trainer and another one that fought in some sort of gigantic mechanized armor in her home world, only to become a mage here. You can become just about anything in this Planeshift place. So, what do ya say?"
          "O...o...alright. Please be my guide, Yakumo-kun." The girl bows.
          Yakumo rubs the back of his head, slightly embarrased. "There's no need to be so formal....you can just call me Yakumo, if you'd like. By the way, what's your name?"
          "Oh! Forgive me for not introducing myself!" She blushes and bows again. "I'm Hyūga Hinata."
          "Alright, well, shall we get a move on, Hinata?"
          As night falls and darkness creeps over the city, we return to Minsc and the disinterested duo of Piccolo and Ichigo and find that they have picked up a fourth adventurer, a young man with elf-like ears. Calling himself Kurono, he is trying to relocate a small boy he stumbled upon earlier that seemed lost and alone. Unable to simply turn a cold shoulder to Kurono, Minsc has sworn to take up the "quest" of finding the child! However, as the full moon rises higher and higher into the sky, something else quickly grabs their attention: King Kong, or something similar.
          "Great Googly Moogly!" Minsc shouts as the massive monkey blasts a beam of energy from its mouth in their direction. "We must slay this beast!" he adds as he once again unsheathes his sword and begins charging. Before he can get a few steps away though, Piccolo grabs him by the shoulder and yanks him backwards.
          "Wait, if I'm right, you can't defeat this creature with a sword," Piccolo explains. "Remain here." He then leaps into the air and, to everyone's surprise, begins flying towards the beast. As he closes in he finally notices the full moon and everything clicks. "A Saiya-jin? Here?" he asks himself in disbelief. Half a second later he blasts the Oozaru in the face with a Ki attack, sending it flying back through several walls of a nearby building. Roaring in anger, it reappears from the dust cloud and smacks Piccolo with its fist, sending the Namek through even more walls of a different building. Man, the bill for the damage these two are causing is gonna be huge....
          The two continue to exchange blows for a few minutes before Minsc, Ichigo, and Kurono catch up, despite being told to stay put. Piccolo once again tells them to refrain from combat, but Minsc draws his blade and Ichigo summons his own. Unsure what to do himself, Kurono decides to follow the green man's advice. He is, after all, still unarmed. As he backs up to put some more distance between himself and the ape, he accidently runs into someone behind him. Turning around to apologize, he finds a young red-haired woman with pig tails, green eyes, and a stern look on her face. He backs away from her as well, feeling a strange aura from her. She ignores Kurono and advances towards where Ichigo and Minsc still stand.
          "Ah! Another intrepid hero joins the fray! Fear not! The bigger they are, the harder I hit!" Minsc then charges, followed by both Ichigo and the newcomer. Kurono watches on from afar, unable to decide on whether to release his seal or not.
          As the quartet continues to battle the beast, several things become quite clear to Minsc. First, Piccolo is much more than he appears. Second, Ichigo is quite talented with his sword; perhaps he should convince the lad to teach him some new skills. Third, their newest ally was a spellcaster of some sort, calling fire out of nowhere to injure their prey. And finally, this damn monkey thing is tough. His attacks seem to do very little to damage it. Perhaps he needs a bigger sword?
          Deciding this has gone on long enough, Piccolo instructs either Minsc or Ichigo to attack the tail. As Piccolo distracts the monster by blocking another of its punches with his face, Ichigo zips out of sight with his Shunpo. Half a second later the beast is screaming in agony as its tail hits the pavement. Much to everyone but Piccolo's surprise, the beast thereafter begins shrinking and losing its hair until lo and behold, it becomes the small child Kurono was looking for all along. Ironically, but not so much for you the reader, Piccolo instantly recognizes the child and insures Kurono that he is his guardian. As the green man obviously knew how to defeat the creature, Kurono puts up only a minor arguement before allowing Piccolo to take him.
          "And once again, we save the day! Come friends, we shall retire to a tavern! And for your assistance and bravery, I invite you to join us Miss."
          "I've heard worse pick-up lines. If you're buying, sure."
          "Excellent! I am called Minsc, and this is Boo. Would you be so kind as to..."
          "Robin."
          "Then, forward friends! Boo calls for celebratory ale!" Minsc sheaths his weapon and begins heading back towards the pizza joint. The others go limp and shake their heads slowly from side to side.
          Somewhere above them another hunt goes on. Having lost track of his prey off and on over the last week, Scarface continues to hunt Khellendros with little luck. This dragon has proven to be one of, if not the most elusive prey he's had the honor of hunting. Unfortunately for Khellendros, Scarface now has backup: another Predator by the name of Wolf, who, like Scarface, has found this world to be quite the hunting ground. Why just this morning he was hunting a tattooed humanoid that had the gall to attempt to steal his spaceship. Unfortunately, Wolf was forced to activate its self-destruct protocol, but at least the tattooed man didn't get away with it. Course, now he seems to be teamed up with the dragon Scarface is hunting. Mutual defense, I guess. Might as well help with the hunt, since he's stuck here now anyway.
          Moving on, imagine Darth Maul on the back of a dragon with around a 25-foot wingspan. Sounds kinda scary, huh? Well, that's what just flew by. Might I suggest you take cover? Flight, natural enemy of a Predator. It's hard to hunt something that can just fly away. Especially when your ship just blew up. But the hunt continues, what a trophy that'll make one day.... (Sorry Baythan, I suck at writing stealth stuff.)
          As for Itachi and Alucard, well....I couldn't think of anything that would get either of them to work with the other and make sense. So....let's just say they played a game of foosball together against Bert and Ernie. They won and decided they worked together so well they should just team up and conquer this world or something.
